Dec 21, 2004 Saturday - On and off snow squalls and flurries, sometimes blue skies and sun peeking thru the gray. Out early Taylor Yard : 2 CP and D&H #7303. An R&N unit facing the other way in the yard. A convoy of RJ Corman Reralling services left the yard. (Left to wash my car) North end of Taylor : 2 more CP units idling, almost in back of the car wash. Steamtown : Not much going on. Started to snow real good now ... D-L M420 and the C626 on Bridge 60. Orange switcher 1044 in the yard. "Daisy Pickers" asking "So you take pictures of trains ???" D-L SC still on display in roundhouse area. Taylor Yard again : Workman repairing track - R&N unit and ox now by yard office - Pettibone running around yard - must have been a derailment. Pittston Junction : Lots of cars - no units Sunday :- Heard on scanner 41T moving. Also some R&N moving early. Afternnon Pittston Junction : Three units and trains behind them lined up by yard office Taylor : Pover and emptty cars from grain train moving from Steamtown to North end of Taylor Yard . R&N came up Push-Pull style, maybe 20 boxcars tween them. Other R&N unit still in yard, Evidently they derailed Fri night.
