If you are interested in railways and would like to help preserve the memory of our rich railroad heritage , then you should be a member of the National Railway Historical Society. Members of the Society have interests as varied as riding excursion trains, collecting rail memorabillia, and preserving locomotives, cars and buildings. Membership Benefits


All members of the Chapter recieve the following items :

 

1) The Society Newsletter, LAUREL LINES, published eleven times per year. The newsletter provides information about Society activities, programs for upcomming meetings, and other railroad information.

2) As a member of the National Railway Historical Society, you recieve six times per year, the National Railway Bulletin, the publication of the NRHS. This booklet contains interesting articles written by members about a variety of rail topics. One issue each year describes the activities of all Chapters throught the United States. Members have to opportunity to contribute to the Bulletin.


3) Each member recieves a copy of the Chapter's Railway Calender, our 22nd annual edition. Member will also recieve any other benefits that occur from time to time.

Membership is $36.00 per year broken down as follows :


National Dues ...... $22.00 Local Dues ............$14.00
FULL YEAR DUES are payable between SEPTEMBER 1 AND JUNE 1
HALF YEAR DUES are payable between JUNE 1 AND SEPTEMBER 1

Family member dues (National): $ 4.00 ( in addition to the regular $ 22.00)

IF YOU ARE A MEMBER OF ANOTHER NRHS CHAPTER , OR AN ASSOCIATE N.R.H.S. MEMBER, YOU PAY ONLY THE LOCAL DUES. YOU CANNOT BE A MEMBER OF THE CHAPTER UNLESS YOU ARE A MEMBER OF THE N.R.H.S.
