The Ed Miller Photograph on the cover of our 2003 Calendar sums up the mission of of the Laurel Line "Fast, frequent service between Wilkes-Barre and Scranton". In addition to regular passenger service and general freight, the line provided special service of transporting time-sensitive perishable loads of meat and produce between the two cites.
